Answers to the usual questions
These come up in almost every first call. Worth two minutes of reading.
Yes — 30 minutes, no charge, no obligation. We use it to understand your situation and tell you what we'd do. If the answer is "you don't need to hire anyone for this", you'll get that answer too.
Three things help most: what is happening now, what you have already tried, and what a good outcome looks like. Numbers are useful too — how many mailboxes, how many users, how many servers, what deadline you're working to. You don't need to know the technical terms.
Discovery calls are usually available within 24 hours. Short pieces of work — mail setup, a DNS fix, a server migration — often start the same week. Larger builds typically begin one to two weeks after the proposal is signed.
Routinely, and before any technical detail is discussed if you prefer. Send us yours or ask for ours. We also work under client security policies, restricted-access arrangements and named-personnel clauses where required.
It depends entirely on scope, so we won't invent a number here. What we will promise: the quote separates our fees from third-party costs (cloud usage, domains, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace licences), states the assumptions it depends on, and doesn't change unless the scope does.
Often, yes. We're regularly brought in alongside an existing provider for a specific capability — DevOps, mail, or a security review — with a clear split of responsibilities agreed in writing so nothing falls between the two of us.
It's used only to answer your enquiry. We don't sell or share it, we don't add you to a mailing list, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to info@vk2tech.com.
